THURSDAY 27 MARCH 2025 - Exclusive networking evening: discover the real power of green in the city!

NOA outdoor living
Retrieved from 27 March 2025 NOA outdoor living will open its doors for an inspiring evening for landscapers, garden contractors, green services and other professionals. This event, organised in collaboration with Louwers Mediagroep, is all about the connection between greenery and urban environments. Don't wait too long to register: if enthusiasm is as high as last year, spots will fill up fast!

Incubator for inspiration and innovation
NOA outdoor living is not just a location, it is a creative ecosystem. This unique hub, born of the collaboration between more than 30 high-end outdoor brands, offers an exclusive experience of luxury outdoor living at the 30,000 m² site in Kruisem. From patio covers and integrated lighting to unique garden furniture, NOA shows professionals and customers how innovative outdoor concepts come to life.
"NOA outdoor living is all about collaboration and inspiration," says Catherine Degreef, manager of NOA. "It is a place where partners reinforce each other and ideas come together. Here, in a realistic setting, you can see how indoor and outdoor living blend seamlessly. Last year, the venue, partners, inspiration and network provided the perfect basis for our event with Louwers Mediagroep, which was fully booked in no time. This proves how valuable such a platform is to exchange knowledge and start new projects."

An evening with inspiring speakers
During 'Landscapes & Urban Design Connected', three leading speakers will share their vision and experience at the intersection of green and urban development. Be inspired by their visionary ideas on what the city of tomorrow could look like:
- Prof Steffen Nijhuis - Landscape-based urbanism
A professor at Delft University of Technology, Steffen Nijhuis is an internationally recognised expert in sustainable urban development. His concept of 'Landscape-based Urbanism' emphasises the importance of the landscape as the basis for urban design.

"We can use landscape logic for urban development at all scales," Nijhuis said. He argues for an integrated approach that focuses on climate adaptation, biodiversity and social inclusiveness. From urban parks to street profiles, Nijhuis shows how landscape logic makes cities more resilient, liveable and ecologically rich. During his keynote, he will present pioneering projects and strategies that take green spaces to the next level.
- Timo Cents - Vertical forests and complex urban spaces
Dutch landscape and urban designer Timo Cents is known for projects such as Wonderwoods in Utrecht, where he literally lifted nature to new heights with vertical forests.
"Space in cities is becoming scarcer and more complex, but green space plays a crucial role in the future of our urban living environments," Cents explains. His work shows how green infrastructure can be aesthetic, functional and sustainable at the same time. In his keynote, he takes us through the development of Wonderwoods, including the challenges and innovative solutions behind this project.
- Louis De Jaeger - Changemaker in sustainable urban development
Belgian landscape architect, entrepreneur, author and filmmaker Louis De Jaeger is a champion of sustainable urban transformation. His vision? Cities where people and nature live together in perfect balance.

"The future of urbanism lies in a renewed relationship between people and nature," De Jaeger argues. In his presentation, he will share concrete strategies and future visions to make cities greener, more resilient and sustainable. From edible urban landscapes to permaculture and innovative urban parks, De Jaeger will offer an inspiring perspective on the city of the future.
