What a final day! From theory to practice, from ‘Ted Talks’ to pitch: the second day of TurfTech 2025 in Basel once again showed how strong this sector is when knowledge, technology and people come together.

TurfTech 2025: concluding from Basel

We returned home with stories that linger. For our podcast, we added these voices: David Roberts, International Sports Turf Managers Association (ISTMA) Joris Eudeline, Head Grounds, AS Monaco Philippe Debougnoux, Fert in Time Europe Florian Mans, Stogger Turf Care, also the driving force behind TurfTech On the pitch of St. Jakob-Park, the home of FC Basel 1893, we delved deeper into concrete innovations, together with: Jan-Willem Kraaijeveld (GKB Machines), about their multifunctional machines that seamlessly combine efficiency and sustainability. Well-known in the sector! Tijs Meeske & Joep van Cranenbroek (Hi Sports), with the HiPSter, the smart field meter that measures hardness, grip and ball bounce in real-time and displays it directly in a dashboard. New in the sector! Tom Worthy (Howardson Group Ltd), around the Dennis Mowers, from robust cylinder mowers to the sustainable, quiet E-Series on battery. Legends in the sector! Plus a new top machine, which we are not allowed to talk about yet. But that will come soon … 🤫 #omerta Keep it Green, with title manager Thomas Goossens as the spearhead, ensured the green thread throughout the event. TurfTech 2025 mainly proved that this profession is alive: from pioneering innovations to strong discussions and spontaneous encounters. For us, an inspiring start to many new stories that we will soon be able to share. 🚀 PS Thanks again to Florian and the Stogger team. Well organised and very hands-on during the event. Top-notch!
